Today, Mihai Ivascu, Founder and CEO of Modex, was one of the speakers at Forbes 30 under 30 Summit. Themed “Generation L” (Leadership), the event focused on innovative projects, decision makers willing to make a change and the transformational factor defining young entrepreneurs.
The event’s first panel — “Talkin’ ’bout my Generation” — touched upon several topics. Each new generation, starting with the baby boomers, had a transformational component. The panelists tried to single out which is the transformational factor that best defines the new generation. They also spoke about what recommends young people to manage projects and large-scale businesses, how can they be helped and what’s the role of young entrepreneurs in today’s society. An important part of the panel was dedicated to responsibility as the new norm, sustainable development and strong, efficient institutions in big cities across the globe.
Bright ideas, persistence and hard work
Speaking about entrepreneurship and about turning a bright, innovative idea into a functional product, Mihai Ivascu, the CEO of Modex, stated: “When all you have is a good business idea, you then realize that execution — turning the concept into reality — is 99% of the entire effort. One should know that there’s nothing fancy, glamorous about entrepreneurship. At some point it will take a toll on your free, personal time, your health, etc. In Romania we’d like to jump from the small league directly into the big league. And we’re not speaking here about the first years of developing a business, about the ABC of entrepreneurship, validating one, ten or a hundred foreign investors. Worldwide, there are some countries which show more respect than others towards those embarking on a new business path, on a new venture. It is our duty — those who have already taken their first steps in a new business — to guide younger entrepreneurs as they embark on their mission to make a difference.”
